Hisense TL1700 17 in. LCD - AC Adapter
I believe my AC Adapter for my TL1700 Flat Screen has gone bad. My tv was having problems turning on, I would mess with the power cord and eventually it would come on. Now, it won't come on at all. I disconnected the Power cord to try and see if I could see a problem. It rattles! I have tried every where I can think of to get a new one. Hisense website won't accept any emails, the phone # doesn't work, nor the fax #. I'm at a lose! I need my tv back!!!!
Please help!

I found their web site for the U.S. and found a 800 number,we called and they we bought a new coverter box.
I had the same problem, the blue name comes up then the screen black, I use a universal cord I purchase at walmart for $17.00 dollars, and the tv works great again, so before anybody go's and spend a lot of money and time trying to find out what's wrong just change the cord, there's a defect with the one the company made they get hot and blows out. I have a Hisense LCD TV and it just went dark one day. When I turn it on the light turns blue and the screen come on and then goes off. Found out the power pack is bad. I could not find one any where. I finally went to a CB shop and bought a base power supply for CD's. Sense the TV is run on 12 volt DC the power supply will run it and it is filtered for noise it does not interfere or cause any screen problems.
The only thing is the size. And be sure to put it where it wont overheat.
Hope this helps.

My original power supply quit working after one year. Replaced it with a 12V 4.5 amp power supply. It lasted about 1 year. Since the second unit was rated at 1.5 amps over the 3 amps required to deliver 35 watts, it should have been "loafing". Since I see so many replacement power supplies advertised on the Net, should I assume this will be a perpetual problem?
Go to Best Buy (or other "big box") and get a Universal PC adapter, brand name Targus. We had the same problem with having to unplug the adapter to let it cool. Cost about $100.00. Make sure that the input and output levels are compatible (take the old one with you).
If it is only the power cord that is bad, find out if there is a local TV shop that can fix it for you.
