Hoe to open avs 500 subwoofer
I know i have te problem with the built-in amplifier, i know it's located in the main subwoofer, but i don't know how to open the sub..no bolt, no holes..anyone know how to open it? nadhie. thx

Could anyone show me the picture where exactly i need to pry the box? cause i'm starting to dig the wooden box instead of prying it open :/

The front cover is glued to the wood box.
You need to be very carefull with this job as there are risks of injury.
With a sturdy box cutter carefully make repeated passes with the tip of the (long) blade between the wood case and the front cover. It will only penetrate 3/16 to 1/4 in when finished. You will feel it when you reach plastic through the glue. When you are satisfied that all the glue between the side of the box and the cover is sliced, insert a flat tip screwdriver between the power cord and the wood frame to pry the cover off. Work slowly around the buttom so the marring in the plastic does not show too much. (yes you cannot avoid it) And be carefull that it does not shut closed on your fingers. Once you have some space opened you can use a flat blade to keep it open while you work around the other sides. A long flat tip screwdriver can be used to reach the opposite side to pry from the inside.
To remove the PCB from the front cover pry off the connector cover from the side of the front cover then pry that side away from the knobs to be able to lift the board straight out. It does not come our at an angle. Good luck and be carefull with the knife.

A lot of this stuff "snaps" together with plastic latches... easily broken.
SOMETIMES there are slots in which a tool is inseted to disengage the latches.
Carefully squeeze areas at the closure to detect ehre latches are and try to disengage.
OFTEN there are also plastic pins that engage holes in the mating part. You must open these squarely or the pins can be brolen off.
