The washing machine is nearly 15 years old but has been working perfectly fine until yesterday. It fills water, it drains away, it spins but it doesn't seem to 'click' through to the next cycle - i.e. the spin cycle doesn't shut off after the normal amount of time, you need to manually stop that part of the cycle and then turn the knob around to the next function. I've tried this on all of the functions and also run through with no load. Is there anything I can try myself to fix before the expensive task of replacing?
