I don't recommend this for the homeowner. Take the hose in to your nearest AERUS store. It is just too easy to damage the pins and rings putting the handle back on. If you insist on trying, remove the little torx screws under the little buttons on the top side of the handle. Good LUCK and be careful. Don't force anything.

My wife sucked a sock up into the hose. I wasn't able to get the handle apart, but I was able to use a plumbing snake to retrieve it.
