How can I access the defrost heater on my fisher and paykel "active smart" fridge?
My fridge keeps tripping the earth leakage breaker. It appears to have burnt out the defrost heater but I cant find a way to access it

Take it off the gfci.
Test the fridge for defective wiring, use a 120v test light from fridge metal to a known good ground source. A slight tingling when defective fridge grounding connection to a strong electric shock would be felt from fridge metal chases to a known ground source when severely defective.
The wiring terminals in the vecinity of the evaporator are exposed to moisture and frost with a path to ground thru metal refrigerant circuit tubing.
HEY!!!!! If your breaker is tripping it means you have a short circuit - a serious safety issue.
Unless you are a qualified electrical tech, for safety reasons refer this one to a pro.
