Some depends on weather or not not your sink w As coated or not but sanding the finish may help.
Do NOTuse steel wool on stainless as it will leave particles embedded in the stainless.
Try 400 to 600 grit sandpaper on an area to see if the contaminated metal will be removed. If this works for you try to use the finer grit in all areas of the sink to blend it in.

The acid has already "etched" your sink so you can't remove those marks, they're probably permanent.
They are not dirty.
