Once the router is plugged in and ready, open up an internet page, even if you don't have any connection. Just as long as pc is connected to outer, you can go to internet webpage and type 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. This will bring you inside your router to all your settings. From here you can change dns settings to whatever you want it to be. Just make sure to save the setting before exiting. Remember, you can always reset the router by the pin sized reset button on the back if you don't like your new settings.
First of all, thank you for asking your question on FIxya! and WIsh you a Happy New Year! You should do it from Windows. Open network connections->Right click on the network you want to configure and click properties-> CLick the NETWORKING tab->Click internet protocol(TCP/IP)-> Then check the box next to "Obtain a DNS server address automatically". Click apply and click OK. Walla!
Let me know if you need more help, and please accept the solution if I have resolved the issue.
Got it now! Sorry did not understand your question before. To be able to do this you should get your own dynamic DNS account. It is a free service that will help you point a domain or subdomain to yor router config page.
