Hi, You download stuff, the same way as you would on Windows: You can to a site where there is stuff to be downloaded and you click on the link. Or you point mouse cursor on the ressource and right click. A pop-up window opens giving you the choice to
Open link (in new window, or in tab)
Bookmark the link,
Save the link as
Send the link
Copy link location
Generally, you will need to Save Links As, to save to your computer.
If you want to download pictures, music from cameras, media players, you will first make sure that your hardware is recognized, and that an appropriate software is installed. With Linux you can never know what is installed, and what is not. So I will not venture into that territory.
