That really depends on the exact phone models, not the carrier. On phones with removable backs and batteries you would remove the back and battery to access the SIM card. Most newer phones with non-removable batteries have a little pop-out drawer on one of the edges that has a tiny hole where you have to insert a SIM removal tool (if you still have the phone box it probably came with a little tool) to press a catch that allows the drawer to pop out. A paper clip will also work. If you do not have the phone manuals you can probably get them on the manufacturers' websites. These will show you exactly where the SIM goes. Don't just go sticking paperclips into holes because one of the holes may be the microphone. The SIM draw is about 1/2"-5/8" long and 1/8" wide. You can see a very fine seam around it, and the hole for the SIM tool is toward one end. It requires a little bit of force to press the release, but it should not be too hard. Do you know anyone who is tech oriented? They can probably help you.
