If you can see a small metal cable around the latching area just pull it as hard a you can until it pops. I use to wrap a paper click around the cable (since it was small enough to get into the tight area) and used plyers to pull on it to unlatch the hood. Tried pulling the cable with pliers, it didn't budge.

Jack it up and try to get to the hood latch from underneath the car.
You can pull the lower left portion of the grill out and snake your hand up by the hood latch. You need to find the bar where the latch cable goes and pull it towards the drivers side the same way the cable would.
