How can the battery charger be changed?
Can the battery charger be changed in a Guardian Generac unit without involving a service/repair technician? There is power coming into the charger, but none coming out to the battery.

Yes this is a very simple job to do. there are only 2 small bolts holding it in. Make sure the generator is in the off position and removed the 2- 5amp fuses in the transfer switch for N1 and N2 Use a fuse puller designed for this (you can get at home depot or lowes for around $9-$10) not a pair of pliers or screwdriver, etc... there is 240VAC on these fuses.. N1 and N2 are what ultimately feed the transformer in the generator which steps the voltage down to 24-26 VAC and feeds the battery charger. Other than that its fairly simple, let me know if you have any more questions.
