Could be the cam position sensor, but that would throw a check engine light code. Is the CEL on? If so, have it read. If it throws the code for the cam position sensor, it's more likely that your timing chain skipped or has stretched. Kinda common on 2nd Gen CRV's. I have a 2004. Have it repaired ASAP without driving it until you know the cause. You can bend the valves and then it's toast.

Newer vehicles have fuel fileter in the gas tank, IF you are not geting any fuel, try replacing the cam position sensor.
