If you have connected the scanner .... using the mini-USB port at the back of the scanner ... to your PC, and you have already downloaded (copied) the photo directly off the card to your computer ... you can select the photo's (on the card) that you do not want (e.g. click on the item / icon list) ... and press DELETE ... like you're deleting a file off one of your folders/directories. You will be shown a pop-up window asking you to confirm if you really want to delete those (selected) files (photos). Click on YES.
Yes, the PC sees the contents of the card as a "list" of files in the (card) folder. So, just delete the photo's (files in the card) folder like you would delete any file.
If you have the card (removed from the back of the scanner) and inserted into your PC (e.g. via a USB card reader) ... and you have already (selected and) copied the photos (files) to your computer, you can do the same (as above) to delete the photos off the card.
