You should have got a USB cable with your camera. Assuming so, plug one end into your camera, this will be a small plug, smaller than the standard USB connection. The other end should be a standard USB connector which you plug into your PC.
The following now refers to windows operating systems, XP and onwards.
Assuming the PC is already on, connections made, switch you camera on. The PC should give a beep and in the bottom right hand corner of the screen a little flag will pop up saying new hardware found. Wait for a minute or two, the pc will probably ask you what you want to do.
If nothing much happens, or the PC just says Your hard ware is now installed and ready to use. Click on and open My computer, and look for a new hard drive. It may be called Drive F, Mass storage device or eveing your cameras name.
Double click on that icon, it should open and there are your photos, copy and paste, drag and click them to the folder you want to keep them.
When finished, you can the delete them from your camera.
