Televisions go into standby mode when there is not an input source. First try cycling through the inputs i.e. HDMI 1/HDMI2/CABLE/VGA/RCA etc. next try changing the cable you are using. It may be bad. Outside of that, either the input port has gone bad on the board or the source is not sending a signal, either way this would be something handled by a professional repair technician
