How do i get my motorola rokr e8 to work in south africa i got the phone friend in the usa its t-mobile found,i have the unlock code,but every time i put the new sim in it shows searching and then show it can find the network
You're going to need to call your cellular service provider in South Africa (whoever your SIM card is registered with) and request Tech Support assistance. Tell Tech Support that you have a phone from the U.S. and request they assist you in programming the correct DNS servers (cellular frequencies) and 'Gateway Address' in the phone for both, voice and SMS (texting) in South Africa.
They should be able to easily guide you through programming your phone with the correct frequencies to use it there. It's really not that difficult to do.
