If you are in suspend mode, as soon as you open the lid to your computer or press the "enter" key your computer should restart. Some computers, though, require that you press the on/off button to wake it up. As for the memory, you should have at least 1MB of RAM for XP to run well. 2 GB is much better, and your computer will max out at 2 GB
