How do i losne the joints of my Elna 2002. It has been sitting in my garage for 5 years and the motor can hardly turn the needle over? I have oiled the required points but it do not help
Is there a manual on how the machine is put together. I have only the manual there come with the machine
Below is a link to the service manual. Unfortunately you will need to buy it but it is not a lot of money and they will Email it to you.
I have resurrected similar machines by removing the bobbin cage and anvil plate inspecting for threads wrapped around bits and using a very thin "Get-In" * oil and/or white spirits on all joints and axles, underneath and on top. Then manually moving the mechanism back and forth to help loosen off the problem. Once working freely, lubricate with the correct oil.
* The word "Pen et ration" is considered a profanity on Fixya, hence "Get-In"
