How do I move the actuators by hand on a Fisher and Paykel DD603 two drawer dishwasher
Lost power in top drawer of the dishwasher & it was jammed shut, so I dragged it open as the general advice says can be done, but the lid that keeps the water in the dishwasher needs to be brought back up to clear the drawer when it is reinserted to prevent destroying the seal. There are two electric actuators that are simply electric motors driving a vertical thread that lifts or lowers the lid on each side. The manual and various blogs say to raise the lid by working the actuator manually, however, while I can grab the nylon? threaded shaft that is part of the actuator, I cannot rotate it by hand...so i cannot lift the lid. Help please!

Lid motors should rectify themselves when power is restored. Once they have moved up then push the drawer back. If they don't rectify, you can disconnect the actuator from the side frame and rotate the actuator to wind it up.
