If the key is turning but the lock will not release the pin, then yes this could be due to corrosion. I would suggest spraying some lubricant into the key hole and try and get some sprayed into the area where the bolt comes together with the lock, ( fill it up good ) -- let it sit for a while and then spray some more and let it sit for awhile more. then try the key inside the lock and try and open it. if this does not open the lock then there is a chance that the lock has a broken part inside and then at that point you will need to grind the lock off using a grinding wheel.
