How do I remove the charcoal filter from the Krups Coffee Maker KT611D50

The light will not stay on when turning on the coffee maker. How do I remove the charcoal filter, I thought maybe that would help.

To remove you just turn it anti clock but you have to go into the system display and cancelling the filter
