If you have a vacume cleaner repair or parts shop in your town, they may have a new switch for it. Otherwise you can contact customer service for Rainbow and ask if they have it. Sometimes these companies have spares on hand and will sell you one. Remove the half that houses the motor, usually the upper half. Look on the underside, the part that faces the tank, and there may be screws you can remove to take the part off that has the switch in it. It will be connected to the motor, or the wire will come from it and go up the handle. If the switch is in the handle it may not have screws in it and is held together by what is called "friction locks". These are little plastic tabs that lock into female parts in the other half of the handle. Don't be surprised if you find out you have to buy a whole handle and hose assymbly just to get the new switch already installed, of course.
