How do I replace a subwoofer potentiometer ?
Hearing loud popping noise on volume adjustment .i read that replacing the 10k 20% resistor fixes the issue. I want to make sure I know how to do this before I pop it open.

If the 10k resistor is the variable volume one then change it.Some sub amp plates have epoxy all over the pcboard.Hard to remove type.I think yours is soldered to a sub pcb and need soldering experience to remove.

Common problem with lots of controls.
BEFORE you 'pop it open' try one thing. disconnct from power, then rapidly turn the knob from one end of its track to the other a few times.
Basically, after a while the carbon track sheds particles which build up on the track causing the pops and clicks,
