Reset. Turn the key on for ten minutes, off for thirty seconds. If it doesn't start there is a relearn. It is three times this, try to start after the third time. Have a battery charger on it. This only works if there isn't a problem in the security system. If the battery gets to low or you accidentally hit the starter at any time, you have to start over.

There is a pretty standard procedure for resetting the security in GM vehicles. This is it.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
- Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 10 minutes the light will turn OFF.
- Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds.
