How do I reset rear lift gate?
I have a 2011 x5 and when I push lift gate button on remote it only releases the latch but will not open. I must open it manually. I have read that you can reset it but can't find where to do that. Any ideas?

I suspect you have WATER in the right rear compartment behind the wheel well. Your tailgate control module is sitting in water leaking from the sunroof. It's a common and well documented problem.
