As always , my answer to this question is that you should go to the cell phone carrier's store . ( Your carrier as in ; AT&T , or Verizon , or Sprint , or WHOEVER . ) MAKE SURE IT IS A COMPANY OWNED AND RUN STORE , NOT A FRANCHISE STORE , OR FREE LANCER . A COMPANY store should be able to unlock it for free , after you have shown them proper identification proving that you are the owner of the phone , and the owner of the service . Without that , you can expect them to refuse . If the first person can't do it , ask to see the manager . I can't imagine a company owned store NOT being able to fix this for you , but if they can't , go to the next nearest company owned store . If you truly can't get it taken care of locally , contact R. I. M. at http://us.blackberry.com/support/smartphones.html?LID=us:bb:support:smartphones:allsmartphones&LPOS=us:bb:support .
