I have a separate cable box that is used in conjunction with the Coby TV. Someone tried using the TV remote to change the channels on the cable box. *Note: The remote for the TV is used only to control the on/off, sleep timer and volume control functions, all other functions are controlled by the cable box remote. Not being able to make it work properly, they then started messing around with the TV remote and made changes to one or more settings and the picture went out as a result. As they continued trying to fix it blindly, the sound then went out. Now without being able to view the menu screen, I can't see what needs to be adjusted in order to make the TV function properly again. Since Coby is no longer in business, I am left trying to figure out on my own how to resolve this problem. Since I cannot do so, I am looking for help from anyone who has good knowledge of this particular TV and can tell me how I can go about resetting the factory defaults in order to get the TV in working order again. I read something in the online users manual that said to unplug the TV for 30 minutes then plug it back in and that should reset everything but that didn't work. The TV turns on but that's as much as I can do at this point so I can either hope that someone can help me resolve this issue or I will need to replace my now non-working TV with a new one. If anyone knows how to perform the reset of the US version default settings other than viewing the menu screen, please let me know. Greatly appreciated. Thanks.
