Ah, so your key is upside down when you insert it in the lock... ******** installers who don't want to take the time to install the lock correctly for the swing of the door do this alot...
Good news is that the lock works iether way, bad news is that it eventually will wear down your lock prematurely because the pins inside the lock are not meant to fight gravity and the springs get sprung!
Unfortunately to turn the keyway 180 degrees requires a special tool that comes with a kwikset rekey kit. It can be done with a flathead screwdriver but involves several steps and may render the lock useless because the final step involves bending one of the internal clips that secures the keyway to the knob... best to have it done at a locksmith and with the proper tool takes about 2 minutes and the key is not even required
