This is an odd question. I think you mean, how do I stop recording a video, so I can take pictures. After you switched on the camera, you press the shooting mode button (camera logo). then on the left of the display you see four logos. Your camera is on the forth logo from the top (FilmCamera logo) Tap on the display, on the top (camera) logo, to enter the picture taking mode. It is all in the manual on page 26. When you get more experienced, the same screen can guide you on to more complex modes, so you also can improve pictures when you meet extreme situations. In the auto mode 99 percent of the shots will be good.
