How do I tighten the base on my Delta kitchen faucet? It is like the Lewiston, just a round base sitting on the sink with a pull-out spout. Do I need to remove the water lines to take this thing apart and tighten? I look under the sink and there looks like a clip of some sort and that is all. Thanks in advance for your help

There should be a nut and washer clear up against the bottom of the counter top. I think the clip you are looking at holds the spout hose to the diverter assembly. You need to look beyond that to see the nut you are looking for. I could be mistaken, but every one of this type of faucet I have seen mounts this way including Delta. It is not easy, there is no room to work up there but it can be done. The best way is with a large basin wrench (a sort of swivel-head jaw on a rod) but with some perseverance and possibly a colorful word or two it can be done with a large pair of slip-jaw pliers too, I've done it.
