The DVD player has been stuck in PAL mode for some time. The instruction manual says to switch between PAL mode and NSTC mode the disc has to be stopped first. However, none of the button on the unit or the remote will stop, play, or eject because the disc that is in there is a NTSC disc. There is no pinhole near the disc slot for easy removal either.
