I have no idea how to open this.

I believe the lens unscrews on this model of light. There should be an o-ring seal which may take a little hand pressure to open. Once the lens os removed the internal assembly should come out and in the rear should be the batteries. Remember to install any seals or o-rings to keep the internals guarded from moisture.
