I have Ridgid SP-500 that would not turn off. I took the switch off by removing 3 screws and then with a pincher or plyers, pulled the 3 wires off their connectors and simply re-seated the plastic part of the float arm, properly on to the metal lever that comes out of the underside of of the switch. Reconnected the wires and put the screws back in. Took 10 minutes because I dropped a screw in the basin and had to find it!
In most cases that is the switch that is attached to the pump you can buy a new one at home depo about 35.00 dollars that will make the sump go on and off properly
