A new barrel comes with just the key stub. Your detach the fob from you current key and fit it to the new one. To remove the barrel you remove the bottom half of the cowl, insert the key, Turn the key to position II. There is a little hole that where you put something like a paper clip inside that free the barrel so you can just pull it out.in some cases for easy access you have to remove the steering column cowling and wiper stalk to get access to the barrel release mechanism and remove in ignition position I. There is an annoying steering lock tab that needed moving to fit the new barrel. Not too bad a job to do.This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
