The end of the wires have a split type clip that expands when you push them into the cap. To remove them properly you need to remove the cap and squeeze the clips in gently and tug the wire. If you are changing the wires it would be a good idea to replace the cap and rotor at the same time anyway. If you would like further assistance with this question, please ask me in comments.
