Please remove the existing version of Norton program from the control panel, then go ahead and delete all Symantec and Norton files from the computer's C or D drive.
After that, open your registry and first take a back up just in case anything get deleted by mistake. Then delete all Norton and Symantec files from HK CURRENT USER, HKEY LOCAL MACHINE, HKEY USERS, HKEY CURRENT CONFIG.
You can click on the SOFTWARE folder in each class to find the Norton files if any. To open your registry editor, type regedit in RUN command (windows key+R)
After that you can again install a trial version of Norton for 30 days.
