Make sure your battery is disconnected. On the starter, remove the wires, and the stay bracket, if any, on the front of starter. Underneath car, there is a plastic shield held on by two bolts or screws. Use a 10 mm wrench and remove the plastic shield. Use a 15 mm socket to remove the starter bolts. There are two that hold starter from the bottom. In other words, bolts are mounted from the bottom, and go up into the block. Once you have it free, you may need to use some ingenuity to turn, position it for removing from that small space to bring it out from car. New one goes in same way. If there is a shim between starter and block mating surface, be sure and use it with new starter.
