Hi Jorge Internally a standard 3.5" Hard Drive uses two voltages about .7A on the 5v Line and .55A on the 12v line. So an External AC Plug Pack supplying 12v @ 1.5 to 2Amp should be adequate. Be careful to match the polarity as marked on the back of your drive and use the correct thickness of the centre pin. There are 2-3 different sizes of this connector available at electronics component suppliers in case you make your own supply up. Good Luck Trevor
