I disagree with the first post. I have a 7000gl intex and at this time only generating chlorine for 3-5 hours. It is differnet every day depending on # of swimmers, sun, heat, rain, sun tan oils and so on.There are many factors to determine how long to run the system. Use a test strip and only concern yourself with free chlorine not total. You will soon learn by testing every day what amount of time you need for your pool. Also get some stabilizer in the pool to help hold the chlorine level usual packs are 1 pound for 5000 gl Also hear is a link to the manuals to further assist you
