I gather the door weight is causing the door to sag and getting the door to close you may have to lift the door upward to get it to latch? If this is the case, you can get a set of shims from most auto supply stores to slip behind the lower hinge on the door. Loosen the hinge bolts and choose what thickness shim (they vary in thickness) you'd like to try first then slip the shim behind the hinge. Tighten the bolts and see if this helps the door sag. This may take several attempts trying a variety of shims or a combination of several thicknesses to get the result you need. In time, a new hinge might be necessary but in my experiences as a body man, the shim kits are always a good fix.
