There is a special tool for this. The generic one that you can buy for about $20 works on most models. See pic below. Attach the puller by placing the correct size clamshells around the hub such that they close behind the lip on the pulley hub. Slip the retaining tube over the clamshells and insert the bolt. Tighten until the pulley starts to come off, then remove the belt. Turn to bolt while holding the pulley until it falls off.
