4.7L The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is mounted into the right-rear side of the engine block. 5.2L & 5.9LThe Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located near the outer edge of the flywheel (starter ring gear). 3.9L, 5.2L & 5.9L Remove right front tire and right front wheelhouse liner. Disconnect crankshaft position sensor pigtail harness from main wiring harness. Remove two sensor (recessed hex head) mounting bolts. Remove sensor from engine. 4.7L Disconnect CKP electrical connector at sensor. Remove CKP mounting bolt. Carefully twist sensor from cylinder block. Remove sensor from vehicle. Check condition of sensor O-ring.
