How to change front axle studs
I just bought the truck and wanted to use never seize on the threads but had a difficult time removing lug nuts. That is when I found out that almost all the studs were crossed-threaded so I need to replace them.

Beat em out with fairly heavy ball peen hammer . Then draw the new stud in with a new conical (acorn ) lug nut . Stack some thick washers behind lug nuts so that you have full threads flush or or more inside lug . Use lubricant and wrench in new stud until is seated flush and no gap on backside between head and flange
U hammer them out and then use a new nut and a sleeve (a short piece of pipe works) to pull them back into the serrated opening. Use lube on the nut and sleeve when pulling the new studs in place.
