When you find the freeze plug that is leaking, you will need a sharp and tough instrument to drive a hole into it and pry it out. The steel is about 1/16 - 1/8" thick. Go get a new one to see how thick it is. With a hammer and some kind of punch or tough screwdriver, drive a hole into the center of it and pry it out. To put the new one in, there are 3 kinds I know of, maybe more. One is simply a steel disc, shaped like a rounded dish. You hit it in the center after it is inside the hole, which would hold it it. Another is a cup shape. Again, this kind you would take a socket the size of the inside of the plug and carelfully drive it in, being sure to keep it going in straight all the way around. Liberally coat the hole with grease before you try. Also, putting these two in a refrigerator freezer will help if you shrink them with the cold. The third kind is a fancy plug of rubber and steel you put in the hole and screw it tight.
