I have a QT2000 which I've configured with PLU's for the items we sell in our cafe. I would like to configure the set menu feature to allow 'specials' where we sell a food item and a coffee for less than the cost of the two items combined. I created a Set Menu and entered the PLU's for the two items that would represent the special. I then created a PLU (calling it 'Special') and used this as the main PLU for the set menu. I then set the price for the special PLU, then assigned the PLU to a key. When I pressed the key in REG mode, I was expecting Special to appear with the two PLU's in the set menu list to appear below offset to the right as it appears in the manual. However only 'Special' appeared with the price I'd programmed. When I carried out a X report, it listed the three PLU's (Special plus the two items in the Set Menu list), but accumulated the three prices, rather than just using the Special price. I would be very grateful to anyone who can highlight where I went wrong.
