How to correctly install the correction tape in a smith corona electric typewriter SD770
The correction tape sits on the spools just fine and I am able to put the typewriter ribbon back in and that sits slightly over the correction tape however when I type a letter and then try to correct the correction tape comes up/out it does not stay securely in place not sure what I am doing wrong

You have to turn the spool with the knob untill there is tension on the tape or it won't stay in place
I did that but it just unravels
