How to dis-assemble motor housing
I am repairing a Hitachi hammer-drill. It is the old model TE-60. The wire has come off one of the carbon bushing housings. I can't figure out how to get the armature out of the motor housing so I can get in there and solder it back on. Can you tell me the trick to dis-assemble this beautiful tool. Thank you, Gerard. Not outside my category list. Its a Hilti, not Hitachi, right? They are a tad tricky. Best thing is to go to Hilti.com in the tech center. Click Tech Center and then Tool Schematic list rotary/combihammers. Get the breakdown. there should be four screws that detach it from base, hard to see. May need allen wrench, can't remember. The fan comes off the armature, may also need small bearing puller. hope this helps. Please rate me
