Problem is not software related. I have put in brand new out-of-the-package batteries. There is no reset button. I have turned it off and on with every combination of buttons held down. After I turn it on the light stays on for a second or two then shuts off, remaining unresponsive to all input. The batteries are firmly in place and not moving around. It has done this in the past but seemingl spontaneously fixed itself for random periods of time. I'm tired of having to wait for the mouse pixies to fix it, please help.
