How to get a siemens micromaster 440 up and running
Hi, my name is stephen I am a quilified electrician. My friend recently got a 3phase hydraulic ramp for his garage which only has a 230v 50hz supply. So we got this inverter to solve the problem! So I thought! I have never installed an inverter before but have slightly studied them in college! Enough to pass exams. So besides from wiring phase, neutral and earth and then on the output u, v, w and earth to the motor. When you initialy turn on the machine how or what do you have to do to get 3phase voltage on the output side? Do you have wire any of the auxilary terminals? Or does it have to be programmed? Any advice would be greatly apreciated!

Hello Stephen The first thing you have to do is make sure that the motor is connected for 220 volt three phase How do you know? your motor must have this connection info on the name plate It must show 220v Delta connection and 380 or 400 v star connection. connect your motor in Delta ie the motor connection links are connected from U 1 to V2, U1 to W2 and V1 to U2. Ok Now for the restof it You have asmall book that came with the inverter so go to page 9 and you will see the drawing for mm440 at the bottom you will see the connection for the speed pot. which is 1,2,3,4, wire in as shown make sure the wiping connection is in 3..now wire in a switch across 9 which is the common and 5 this starts and runs the inverter when you open the switch the inverter will ramp down and stop.... IF YOU look at page 8 it shows how delta and star is connected at the motor..... now go to page12 for this you must have the power on to the inverter.. as you enter the parameters they come up in sequence as you enter the info...on par 700 put in 2 also at 1000 put in 2 set p1080 at 0.0...p 1082 at 50 P3900 at1 This should get you up and going
