Regardless of the source, download the font and save it in a fonts folder on your hard drive.
Step 2 Double-click the fonts folder and choose "File." You should be able to select "Install New Font" at this point.
Step 3 Find the fonts you want to install. They may be on a CD or in a folder on your hard drive. When you download fonts from an online site, save them in a place that is easy to access when you install them in Windows.
Step 4 Highlight the TrueType or OpenType font you wish to install and click "Ok." This will complete the installation. Programs, such as Photoshop will automatically incorporate the new font in the list provided by the program.
Step 5 Go to the start menu and select "Settings." Open your control panel. In Windows XP, the control panel will be in the start menu. There is no need to look for "Settings" first.
